Modern Dentures

Are you missing a large number of teeth, or have you suffered extensive dental damage? If so, you may have compromised dental function, and you may feel very self-conscious about your smile. Our dentures can replace all or most of your teeth. If you think of dentures as ill-fitting or uncomfortable restorations, it is time to think again! Thanks to modern technology and our detail-oriented approach, today’s dentures fit and look more natural than ever before.

The Different Types of Dentures

Dr. Dooley offers a full range of denture options, and he will always recommend the type of prosthetic that is most suited to your health needs and budget.

  • Full dentures will replace all of your teeth. You can choose a denture to restore your upper teeth, lower teeth, or your
entire smile. A full denture has a plastic base that will match the natural color of your gum tissue. The base will fit around your gums, and denture adhesive will provide further stability.
  • Partial dentures replace a large number of missing teeth. Like full dentures, these restorations have a gum-colored plastic base. Small clasps will keep your prosthetic in place, and they will be carefully hidden for a discreet, natural look.
  • Implant-supported dentures are permanent dental replacements. Dr. Dooley does not perform implant placement, but he can refer you to a local oral surgeon. He or she will position several dental implant posts in your jawbone, and then Dr. Dooley can attach your full or partial denture to the top of the posts.

Are You a Candidate for Dentures?
